SSAP HCM / SuccessFactors Solution Architect | 12-Month Contract

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Solution Architect to play a critical role in a landmark, multi-million-dollar ERP transformation program based in Brisbane.
Reporting directly to the Program Architect, you will be the architectural anchor for the Human Capital Management (HCM) stream. You will hold end-to-end accountability for translating complex business requirements into scalable, robust solution designs across a hybrid cloud landscape, ensuring compliance with enterprise-wide standards and "clean core" design principles.
Key Deliverables & Accountabilities
* Architectural Integrity: Own the delivery of the Solution Architecture Design (SAD) and Solution Implementation Design (SID) across the workforce and safety streams.
* Design & Strategy: Critically evaluate and reconcile requirements across the employee lifecycle and enterprise safety domains, resolving design conflicts and driving fit‐for‐purpose standard functionality to minimize technical debt.
* Integration Governance: Define integration patterns and data structures between cloud tenant layers, core master records, and downstream platforms.
* Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the trusted architectural conduit between executive business champions, functional analysts, and third‐party implementation partners.
* Governance Presentment: Produce clear architectural deliverables (options papers, position papers, security models) and present them confidently to ICT assurance boards for sign‐off.
Required Experience & Technical Skills
* Enterprise Architecture Tenure: Proven track record in SAP Enterprise or Solution Architecture with demonstrated experience on large‐scale cloud ERP transformations.
* Deep Cloud HCM Domain Depth: In-depth knowledge of the SAP SuccessFactors suite (specifically Core HR/Employee Central, Onboarding, and Learning Management Systems).
* Core Payroll Alignment: Strong understanding of S/4HANA Payroll alignment with business processes and its relationship with HR Master Data.
* Safety & Compliance Interoperability: Proven experience designing or aligning Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/EH&S) processes and platforms with core employee master data.
* Methodologies: Solid proficiency with SAP Activate and TOGAF frameworks to map business, data, and integration viewpoints.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to navigate high‐stakes vendor ecosystems and articulate complex technical logic in plain business language.
* Prior experience delivering solution architecture within large‐scale SAP programs across Federal, State, or Local Government environments.
