Chef de Partie – Mercure Barossa Valley (Barossa Valley, SA)
Mercure Barossa Valley (part of the Accor network)
is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of your section, deliver consistent quality during service, and support the Head Chef/Sous Chef across restaurant, events and conferencing.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for producing high-quality dishes with strong attention to consistency, timing and presentation. You'll work collaboratively with the broader kitchen and hotel team, contribute to a positive culture, and uphold Mercure/Accor standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Run and manage your section during service (a la carte and functions)
* Prepare and present dishes to a consistent standard
* Support menu execution and assist with seasonal menu development
* Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS compliance
* Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste
* Train and support Commis/Demi Chefs and kitchen hands as required
* Work efficiently under pressure and support smooth kitchen operations
About You
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* Experience as a Chef de Partie (or a strong Demi Chef ready to step up)
* Strong standards around presentation, cleanliness and organisation
* Sound knowledge of food safety requirements and kitchen compliance
* Hotel, events, or high-volume kitchen experience is highly regarded
* Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team
