About The Role
Narrabri Coal Operations is currently seeking qualified Underground Electricians to join our longwall team. Our operation features a fully automated longwall system, utilising some of the most advanced mining technology in Australia. With approvals to operate through to 2044, we offer long-term career opportunities in a well-established, long-life underground coal mine.
These positions are offered on a residential or Drive-In, Drive-Out (DIDO) basis. For those considering relocating to the area, we offer relocation assistance and up to 12 weeks of camp accommodation while you secure long-term housing.
What You'll Do
* Undertake and direct electrical maintenance activities on shift as needed
* Work collaboratively with your crew members
* Support site HSEC policy and procedures, following safe work procedures as set out for the work process
* Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects
* Completion of all necessary statutory equipment inspections in your panel.
What You'll Bring
* NSW Electrical Trade Qualification or NSW issued Electrical License
* Experience/ qualifications in Flameproof Protection Enclosures
* Experience/ qualifications in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Training (EEHA) (advantageous)
* Ability to work rotating shifts
* Previous experience working in underground mining
* Ability to meet clean-shaven requirements in line with underground coal mining respiratory safety standards.
