We are a well‑established, independent natural resource management (NRM) organisation operating across southern Queensland. We partner with landholders, First Nations communities, governments and industry to deliver on-ground, evidence‑based projects in sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, soil & water health, and community engagement. Our work spans a vast and diverse region and is underpinned by respect for cultural knowledge, innovation, and strong community relationships.


The Role

The Project Officer will support the delivery of high‑impact natural resource management and sustainability projects across Southern Queensland, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, on‑ground implementation, reporting, and continuous improvement. Their operations are distributed across multiple regional offices including Toowoomba, Roma, Charleville, or Goondiwindi.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist planning, coordination and delivery of project activities (e.g. revegetation, fencing, weed control, water management)
* Ensure compliance with funding agreements, reporting requirements and environmental regulations
* Contribute to risk management, adaptive planning and project improvement strategies
* Facilitate workshops, field days, site visits and community engagement events
* Support grant applications, data collation, spatial mapping and technical advice as needed


About You

* Tertiary qualification in agriculture, environmental science, business or other related fields
* Demonstrated experience in project coordination/delivery in natural resource management, environment or agriculture
* Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation
* Experience in on‑ground works (e.g. fencing, revegetation, weed control, etc)
* Knowledge of GIS, spatial mapping tools, environmental legislation or grants management (desirable)
