Wallis Drilling seeks a senior procurement professional to lead its purchasing and stock management strategy.
The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring efficiency and excellent service delivery across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement supplier relationships and procurement strategies
* Negotiate contracts with freight and logistical services providers to drive cost improvements and performance
* Build strong internal relationships and stakeholder engagement
* Create long-term forecasts with key stakeholders
* Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
* Develop a storage strategy for the warehouse, including relocation to our Hazelmere site
* Manage rolling stocktakes across all sites
* Facilitate and deliver procurement processes throughout the organization
Key Requirements and Desirable Skills:
* A professional outlook and friendly demeanor
* Ability to show initiative and motivation
* High attention to detail and ability to multitask
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite and experience in PRONTO preferred
* Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in complex manufacturing and procurement environments
