About the Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Pilot and the Role
In partnership with Engender Equality and SASS, Laurel House will deliver the 'Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Pilot - Service Integrators Initiative'. This pilot aims to improve the capacity of General Practices and Aboriginal Health Services to recognise and respond to family violence, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse.
The Regional Service Integrators, known as PCFSV Support Specialists, will collaborate with the Manager, Operations Coordinator, and other Regional Service Integrators to develop relationships with General Practices and Aboriginal Health Services, providing phone and web-based referral support and capacity building activities.
The role is a fixed-term part-time position, available from June 2025 to 30 June 2026, supported by funding from Primary Health Tasmania (Tasmania PHN).
About Laurel House
Laurel House is a specialist sexual violence service providing trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic services to victim-survivors, their families, and supporters. We offer face-to-face counselling at various locations across North and North West Tasmania, along with community education and prevention programs.
Candidate Profile
* Relevant tertiary qualification and / or experience in the domestic, family, and sexual violence sector, including lived experience.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Knowledge of service frameworks related to family and sexual violence and child sexual abuse in Tasmania.
* Willingness and ability to undertake field work, including extensive travel by motor vehicle.
* Commitment to applying a feminist, intersectional framework.
