Offer description

Build, Test, and Deliver Real-World Power Solutions

Helios Power Solutions is seeking hands‐on Production Technicians who take pride in building high‐quality equipment and want to work on projects that genuinely matter. If you enjoy practical work, precision, and being part of a team delivering critical power solutions across Australia and New Zealand, this role is a strong fit.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a hands‐on production role involving electrical assembly, wiring, mechanical fitting, and functional testing. You'll work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and production documentation to build high‐quality equipment in a clean, organised workshop.

* Assemble power supplies, racks, and industrial DC power cabinets
* Wire, fit, and prepare AC/DC/DC conversion equipment
* Read and interpret electrical schematics, layout diagrams, and scopes of work
* Conduct functional testing and quality checks to ISO9001 requirements
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams
* Prepare equipment for dispatch, FAT, or integration into larger systems
* Use tools safely, accurately, and with pride in workmanship

What You Bring

* Experience in electrical or electronic assembly
* Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
* Confidence with tools, wiring, soldering, and basic test equipment
* Strong attention to detail and a quality‐first mindset
* Practical problem‐solving skills and a clean, efficient working style
* Formal electrical or electrotechnology qualifications (preferred)
* IPC certifications (desirable)
* Exposure to ISO9001 or structured production environments (advantageous)

Not every box needs to be ticked — if you're capable, reliable, and eager to learn, we'll train you.

Benefits / Growth Opportunities

* Growing specialist SME supporting defence, utilities, transport, and industrial sectors
* Stable full‐time role in a technical manufacturing environment
* You'll work on real infrastructure projects — not theoretical exercises
* Clean, organised, and safety‐focused workshop
* Clear development pathways into testing, advanced assembly, and other technical roles

Who This Role Suits

* Experienced assemblers or electricians seeking steady workshop‐based work
* Technicians transitioning from electrical, mechanical, or industrial environments
* Student or recent graduates ready to apply their knowledge in the real world
* Candidates who prefer structured builds, technical accuracy, and practical tasks
* Reliable individuals who enjoy producing high‐quality work with ownership and pride
