Your Role
Here's what you will be doing:
* Support site financial performance through accurate reporting, meaningful analysis, and practical recommendations
* Play an active role in month-end closing activities and deliver insightful dashboards showcasing site performance
* Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes with precision and timeliness
* Maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and manage costing for new product development
* Act as a trusted business partner by analyzing financial performance, explaining variances, and recommending corrective actions
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage ad-hoc projects with agility and focus
* Collaborate closely with operations teams to identify cost drivers and implement performance optimization strategies
* Execute cost accounting and inventory valuation tasks accurately during month-end close activities
* Engage actively with shop-floor operations and follow through on improvement projects to ensure successful outcomes
* Complete structured rotations with a mentor to build leadership skills and insight into manufacturing operations
* Deliver project work and presentations supported by targeted training in leadership, project management, industry knowledge, and communication skills
About You
The company is looking for:
* Recent graduates (degree completed within last 24 months) with a Finance, Business/Commercial Accounting, or Engineering degree
* Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or 485 Visa holder valid for 18-24 months
* Willingness to relocate to Harvey, Western Australia, and nationally as required
* Strong academic performance with solid project outcomes
* Genuine interest in FMCG and dairy manufacturing industry careers
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills for reporting, data analysis, and business decision support
* Experience in data extraction, modelling, and analysis to deliver actionable insights (highly regarded)
* Adaptable mindset with openness to new ideas and ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment
* Ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations influencing business outcomes
* Proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency in reporting and analysis
* Exposure to manufacturing sector through previous roles or internships (desirable)
* Strong desire to grow, develop, and build a long-term career with Lactalis Australia
* Understanding of and commitment to workplace health and safety practices
