What You Will Get To Do
As a Project Manager, you will lead and empower a cross‐functional team—including product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA—using best‐practice methodologies to ensure delivery aligns with agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, business objectives, and governance measures.
In this role, you will also manage and nurture client and key stakeholder relationships, oversee timely and accurate reporting (updates, RAID logs, budget controls, resource requirements), and ensure compliance with internal frameworks and governance standards.
* Accountable for delivery of large and complex projects such as client initiatives, acquisitions, lift‐outs, transitions and strategic product initiatives for the SS&C Fund Services business.
* Plan and design the project and proactively monitor its progress, resolve issues, and initiate appropriate corrective action.
* Adhere to SS&C's governance and delivery frameworks.
* Ensure effective quality assurance and overall project integrity.
* Manage the project's budget on behalf of the senior responsible owner, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realising benefits.
* Facilitate the appointment of individuals to project teams.
* Ensure delivery of new products or services from projects to the required quality level, on time and within budget.
* Allocate common resources and skills within the project.
* Manage third‐party contributions to the project.
* Manage communications with stakeholders.
* Manage risks to the project's successful outcome.
* Work with the business change manager (or equivalent) on the transition to the new business‐as‐usual position.
* Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps are identified or issues arise.
* Report progress of the project.
What You Will Bring
* Minimum 5 – 10 years' experience in Project Management.
* Experience delivering IT, People and Administration projects within Financial Services. Ideally, including transitions for investment managers, asset servicing providers (e.g. Fund Admin, Custody, TA), superannuation and pension funds administrators, and mergers and acquisitions.
* Demonstrated proven track record in planning, executing and delivering large complex programs/projects on time and on budget.
* Seasoned Project Management practitioner with experience delivering large programs of work and managing C‐level stakeholder relationships.
* Effective networking, negotiation, and influence skills at all organisational levels.
* Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
* The ability to command respect and create a sense of community among project teams.
* Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs.
* Sound business case development and approval skills.
* Good understanding of the procurement process, including negotiation with third parties.
* Good knowledge of program and project management methods, including MSP and Prince2.
* Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
* Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the program.
* Ability to find ways of solving or pre‐empting problems.
