OverviewAbout the roleThe Breakers Yamba is looking for a motivated Grounds & Maintenance Caretaker to join our team on a part-time basis (20–30 hours per week, across 5 days).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beachfront resort setting and play a key role in keeping our grounds and facilities looking their best.As part of our wider operations team (spanning multiple resort locations in Yamba), you'll be instrumental in ensuring both guests and owners enjoy a clean, safe, and beautifully maintained environment year-round.ResponsibilitiesGrounds upkeep: mowing, hedging, weeding, and gardening.Ensuring pathways, buildings, and shared spaces are neat, safe, and well-presented.Pool and spa checks, cleaning, and daily maintenance.Minor maintenance and repair tasks as needed.Supporting resort operations: delivering mail, assisting trades, supplying linen for housekeepers, and basic record-keeping.Providing friendly and professional service to guests and owners.Following health, safety, and environmental procedures.What we're looking forReliable, honest, punctual, and well-presented, with a solid work ethic.Experience in gardening, maintenance, or trades (preferred but not essential).
A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn pool testing and other record-keeping tasks.Flexible availability – including weekends, public holidays, and peak school holiday periods.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Current driver's licence and reliable transport.What we offerCompetitive pay and flexible part-time hours (generally 6:30am – 12:30pm, 5 days a week).
