Position Profile: This opportunity is available to a medical skilled, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia with clinical experience in a relevant specialty at or above post graduate level, who is highly motivated with an interest and commitment to research, quality improvement and education. As a Fellow in Medical Oncology, you will work under the supervision of the department’s Consultants at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, to provide leadership and education to other medical practitioners, undertake clinical research and trial work, prepare, and apply for research grants, undertake outpatient clinics and clinical duties, and participate in research and quality improvement activities in the Oncology department. You will utilise your knowledge of clinical governance and research methodology, as well as your strong communication skills to provide clinical support, education and supervision to the Medical Oncology research department and junior medical staff; and will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the Medical Oncology department at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and advance their clinical trial and research program to provide our patients with treatment options and access to new and innovative products and interventions.
