ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking experienced Road Labourers to join their team.
Hours: 6:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday at the Wilberforce depot | 9 day fortnight (every 2nd Friday off)
DUTIES:
* Repair potholes and maintaining roads
* Assisting with safety fencing and guard rails
* Trimming trees and shrubs around roads
* General labouring duties
* Road maintenance and patching, heavy patching and erection of guideposts, signs, guard rails and safety fencing.
* Concrete works - prepare formwork, pour, finish, strip and backfill.
* Drains construction - prepare bedding, lay, grout, backfill pipes and construct pits.
* Drains maintenance - clear pipe inlets/outlets and clean pits.
* Carry out sight clearing (scrub cutting).
* Traffic co-ordination and control at sites.
* Complete timesheets and other basic documentation as required.
* Operate minor plant, i.e. chainsaw, jackhammer, plate compactor, concrete saw, ride-on mower, small roller.
* Hand excavation as required i.e. footpath repairs, removal of tree root
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* MR Licence
* WHS White Card
* Physically fit
* Able to pass a criminal check
* 2 contactable work reference checks
