The Roy Fagan Centre (RFC) is Tasmania's statewide specialised inpatient mental health facility for older persons and part of the Older Person's Mental Health Service (OPMHS). We provide compassionate, person‐centred care to individuals experiencing acute mental ill health, neuro‐psychiatric symptoms of dementia, and complex psychiatric conditions. Our multidisciplinary team works across four purpose‐built units, each designed to support dignity, safety, and therapeutic engagement.

The Role
* Maintains a high standard of cleanliness across patient and non‐patient areas, supporting safe and therapeutic environments
* Manages waste removal and linen collection/distribution to ensure smooth daily operations across the Roy Fagan Centre campus
* Uses and maintains cleaning equipment safely and correctly, promptly reporting issues to maintain service reliability
* Contributes to infection prevention, safe work practices, and continuous quality improvement within the Centre
* Demonstrates respectful, patient‐centred interactions with older persons, families, and staff, supporting a calm, dignified care environment
You Will Need To
* Have previous cleaning experience, preferably within a hospital environment
* Be aware of, and familiar with, equipment currently in use within the commercial cleaning industry
* Possess a basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and solutions

Details of Appointment
Permanent part‐time, day worker position, working 36 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
For twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‐time, part‐time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
Salary Packaging
You'll have access to a salary package that includes living expenses up to $9,010 plus $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, among other benefits if eligible.
