As we continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join our growing team.
Role Overview
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for transforming living spaces by expertly installing a wide range of tiles - ceramic, slate, marble, natural stone, and glass - in bathrooms, kitchens, and throughout residential renovations.
You'll prepare surfaces, cut and lay tiles with precision, apply waterproofing systems (if licensed), and see projects through to impeccable completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret project plans, accurately measure areas, and plan the tiling layout
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces, which includes removing old tiles, cleaning, and patching as needed
- Use adhesives to set tiles in place, cut tiles for edges and around fittings, and ensure perfect alignment and spacing
- Grout and polish finished surfaces, removing excess and ensuring long-lasting, high-quality work
- Apply waterproofing systems where required (must be licensed, or willing to obtain licensing)
- Maintain safe, tidy worksites and uphold company values of professionalism and attention to detail
- Liaise with project managers, other trades, and clients as needed to ensure smooth project delivery
Criteria
- At least 3 years of relevant, recent tiling experience (residential preferred)
- Candidates must have between 3-5 years of recent tiling experience
- Trade qualification (Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling), or equivalent practical experience
- Equivalent practical experience is accepted in lieu of formal trade qualification
- Proven skill in laying a wide range of tile types, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret basic site drawings and plans
- Initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Current Driver's Licence, White Card (preferable), and Australian work rights required
- Waterproofing licence an advantage (or willingness to obtain)
What We Offer
- Stable, ongoing full time work across Melbourne's most agile residential projects
- A supportive environment, all tools and PPE provided
- Competitive salary package of 75,000 - 85,000 per annum + Super
- Commitment to training and development for the right candidate
