We are currently recruiting for our Lifestyle and Supported Independent Living (SIL) programs, which support individuals with disabilities in shared housing or their own homes, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
SIL involves working across a 24/7 roster, while Lifestyle supports require one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support clients to engage in enjoyable activities at home and in the community, such as cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
2. Create a calm and supportive environment by utilizing de-escalation techniques.
3. Implement person-centred active support and behaviour support plans to promote independence and well-being.
4. Provide domestic assistance to help clients maintain their living spaces.
5. Offer support with personal care, including bathing and dressing.
6. Be available to work sleepover shifts (SIL only).
Skills & Experience:
1. A bright and enthusiastic individual who can deliver support with a smile and a positive attitude.
2. A passion for empowering people with disability, supporting their unique needs, strengths, and personal goals.
3. Experience working with complex disability support needs, including non-verbal communication, escalations, and behaviours of concern.
4. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates as per NDIS requirements.
