Overview
Pacific Welding Australia are seeking an experienced Draftsman with strong expertise in piping systems and heavy industry projects to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and models that support our engineering and fabrication teams in delivering large-scale industrial projects to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
Produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for piping layouts (Isometrics), fabrication, and installation.
Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.
Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and workshop staff to ensure drawings meet practical and safety requirements.
Revise and update drawings based on design changes and site feedback.
Ensure all drafting work complies with relevant industry standards and codes.
Maintain drawing registers and documentation for project records.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Draftsman in piping and/or heavy industrial environments (fabrication, mining, oil & gas, or related).
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Strong knowledge of piping layouts, fabrication details, and industrial design practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
