About the Role
We're seeking a Site Electrical Engineer to join our growing team and help deliver a large-scale renewable energy project. You'll play a critical role in supervising and managing site activities during the construction and commissioning phases, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and environmental standards, and supporting a successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
* Assist with technical documentation and progress reporting, highlighting any issues or risks
* Ensure all electrical works comply with local electrical codes, regulations, and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, AS)
* Resolve any electrical issues/defects as they arise on-site
* Oversee the integration of electrical systems, including PV Arrays, BESS, and grid interconnection, ensuring proper execution
* Coordinate and support the testing and commissioning of electrical systems (inverters, transformers, switchboards, BESS, protection systems etc.)
* Ensure all electrical systems are fully operational and meet project performance standards
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* 5+ years' experience in site-based electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy, power generation, or HV/MV transmission/distribution projects
* Experience with electrical–civil interfaces (earthing, conduits, trenching, bunding, etc.)
* Sound understanding of HSE practices and quality management systems
* Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Organised with a keen eye for detail and strong ability to prioritise and multitask
* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Ability to work Monday to Friday on site
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work visa
