The role involves applying valuation theory to real-world fact patterns and documenting outcomes for financial reporting, tax, employee share schemes setup, and transaction-related work. You will work with a range of clients, including corporates and private capital investors, and contribute to the delivery of clear, well-supported valuation outputs. Why PwC? What you’ll do: Execute valuations of businesses and underlying complex financial instruments, including management equity, options, convertible notes, preferred equity and debt. Support valuation advice for financial reporting and tax purposes, including employee share schemes. Apply derivatives and options techniques to complex instruments and capital structures. Build and review models using Option Pricing Models, Monte Carlo simulation and probability weighted expected return method (PWERM), where appropriate. Review inputs, assumptions and market data; document methodologies and rationale in valuation deliverables. Support equity allocation, and backsolve style analyses (where required by the engagement). Contribute to identifying valuation considerations and risks (for example, terms interpretation, data limitations, and market calibration). Coach junior team members on modelling and documentation basics, under manager guidance. What we’re looking for: Relevant qualifications (or progress toward) such as CA/CPA, CFA, FINSIA, MBA, Masters in Finance or Applied Finance. Experience in corporate valuations, including business, share and/or financial instrument valuation work. Exposure to derivatives and options valuation methodologies, specifically for management share plans, convertible notes, debt and private credit structures. Capability in building and operating valuation models (OPM, Monte Carlo, PWERM) with attention to controls and documentation. Strong analytical skills, clear written communication, and the ability to explain assumptions and outputs to stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in teams and manage competing priorities across engagements.
