We are urgently seeking a
Mechanical Project Engineer
for a Refractory Project in Kalgoorlie.
This is a FIFO role from Perth mobilising to site ASAP. The role will be working closely with project managers and our client to ensure all aspects of the project align with performance, cost, schedule, and safety goals.
You will serve as a key technical liaison, ensuring that designs are executed properly, risks are mitigated, and deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
Your key responsibilities will cover:
* Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of projects
* Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and technical documentation
* Liaise between engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams
* Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
* Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status, challenges, and metrics
* Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements
* Support procurement activities, including vendor selection, RFIs, and material submittals
* Manage change orders, project documentation, and closeout procedures
What you will bring to the role:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
* 2-3 years of relevant experience in project engineering or technical project coordination
* Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes (where applicable)
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work quickly and accurately, site experience is a must
