Product Manager – Public Safety & LMR Communications
Location: West Melbourne, FL (onsite)
Overview
We’re looking for a strategic, technically minded Product Manager to help shape and grow mission‑critical communication products used by public safety and first responder organizations. In this role, you’ll lead product strategy, guide development, and bring new solutions to market that make a real‑world impact.
Responsibilities
- Understand the Market
- Research customer needs, industry trends, and buying behaviors in public safety communications (law enforcement, fire, EMS, utilities, emergency management).
- Track emerging technologies including digital radio, interoperability, and LMR/LTE integrations.
- Monitor competitive products and identify opportunities to stand out.
- Lead Product Strategy
- Define and manage product vision, roadmap, and business case.
- Translate customer and market needs into product requirements.
- Own the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and optimization.
- Launch & Support Products
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to create go‑to‑market plans, pricing strategies, and launch materials.
- Create sales enablement tools like presentations, training guides, and case studies.
- Support customer meetings, demos, and technical conversations as the product expert.
- Collaborate & Execute
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure smooth development and delivery.
- Clearly communicate product plans and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Marketing.
- Experience in LMR, radio communications, or public safety technology preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital radio standards (e.g., P25) and system architecture is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working across teams in fast‑moving environments.

- Project management experience.
- CRM and analytics tools experience.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Experience with Agile development is a plus.
