About the opportunity
The Association for Payroll Specialists (TAPS) is part of the Ceridian family and is Australia's leading payroll association, representing over 8,000 payroll professionals.
TAPS has a new opportunity for a Training Officer.
Use your existing skills in a new and exciting way. In this role you will provide member services, including delivery of payroll training, answering member Helpline calls, handling payroll legislation queries, and supporting TAPS events.
What you'll get to do
- Deliver a mix of online and face-to-face training to TAPS clients
- Update and improve the training materials
- Keep yourself up to date with changes in payroll legislation
- Answer Client Helpline calls; assist clients with resolving complex payroll and payroll legislation queries
- Provide up-to-date advice to clients, drawing on team expertise as needed
- Contributing to the TAPS newsletter
- Research payroll topics for helpline and factsheets
- Present at TAPS events from time to time
- Work on projects from time to time to support improvement and innovation across TAPS member offerings

Skills and experience we value
- Expert Australian payroll legislation knowledge (NZ payroll knowledge also desirable)
- Experience delivering payroll or payroll systems training (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to tailor communication to the audience and explain complex payroll legislation in a way the receiver understands.
- Excellent coordination and time management skills
- Strong customer focus and good team collaboration skills.
