We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Centre Chef/Cook to join our team and take charge of our beautiful kitchen space.

About the Role
As our Centre Chef, you'll prepare fresh, nutritious meals for up to 71 children daily, including:
Morning Tea
Lunch
Afternoon Tea
Daily baked treats for families
You'll also be responsible for:
Planning and embedding wholesome seasonal menus
Managing food allergies and dietary requirements with care
Ordering and purchasing within budget
Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
Creating a calm, organised, and welcoming kitchen environment
Communicating with educators and families regarding meal planning and preferences
This is a Monday to Friday role—no nights or weekends
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
Previous experience as a cook or chef (childcare, aged care, or hospitality experience highly regarded)
Allergen-aware and confident in adapting meals for individual needs
Organised, reliable, and efficient in a fast-paced setting
Passionate about providing nourishing meals for children
Independent and proactive in managing a kitchen
Essential Criteria
Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene procedures
Excellent time-management and communication skills
Experience in a childcare or similar setting (highly desirable)
