Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities

This is a Permanent Part-Time position (0.45 FTE, 34 hours per fortnight).
The role is a progressional position: the successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression once specific criteria are met.

About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will maintain the school's grounds and facilities to a high standard and work closely with the Principal, Business Manager, or a nominated delegate to ensure the environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain school grounds, including mowing, watering, weeding and general garden care.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
Coordinate removal and disposal of rubbish and maintain outdoor facilities such as sports courts and fields.
Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as fixing fences, gates and irrigation systems.
Order and collect grounds care supplies and materials as authorised by the school leadership team.
About You
Experience in grounds care and general maintenance.
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines.
Ability to operate and maintain grounds care equipment such as mowers and brush cutters.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
A friendly and confident approach to working within a small team.
