As a Hatchery Assistant at Inghams, you will play a vital role in supporting the Premaydena team in TAS. This Casual position in the Farms & Hatchery department offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operations of our hatchery.
Shift Time
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 7:30AM to 1:30PM

Daily Tasks
* Assisting with the general operation of the hatchery
* Monitoring and maintaining optimal environmental conditions for egg incubation
* Carrying out regular checks on equipment and reporting any issues
* Handling and moving eggs and chicks with care and precision
* Contributing to the health and welfare of poultry by following established protocols
* Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient hatchery processes
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the hatchery environment
You Will Bring to This Role
* Previous experience working in a hatchery or similar agricultural environment
* Understanding of animal husbandry practices, particularly in poultry
* Ability to follow strict biosecurity protocols and health & safety regulations
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
* Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Familiarity with basic maintenance of hatchery equipment and facilities
