What we need from you:
A respectful and person centred attitude towards supporting people with disabilities
Knowledge and experience working with a range of intellectual and developmental disabilities
Relevant tertiary qualifications: Eg Undergraduate studies in Education, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work. Postgraduate studies in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, Disability Studies, Behavioural Studies
Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core or Proficient level of suitability or higher)
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in working with complex cases
Experience and passion for Positive Behaviour Support
Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards commissions requirements around restrictive practices
Ability to form relationships and work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, staff, allied health professionals and additional stakeholders
15-25 billable hours a week
1 hour of clinical supervision per week
Active engagement in staff meetings
Basic requirements:
Drivers licence, Car, Laptop, Phone, Home office materials
ABN + Professional indemnity and liability insurance
Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
Proda Registration as an eligible worker
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children's Check
Your remuneration:
Specialist Behaviour Support at $100/hr + GST + super (negotiable based on level of experience)
