**About the role**:
Our client is an Australian Government statutory agency whose role is to ensure that Australian health products are safe, secure, adequate, and affordable.
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of a Research and Development Program, forecasting trends, and utilising reviews which aim to understand usage patterns. The team aims to identify and support high-quality research and review activities that address and influence priorities.
This role is responsible for forecasting and anticipating health trends, and media monitoring. The role will also oversee a project to modernise these processes.
**Duties**:
- Develop, plan, lead and manage projects and activities
- Coordinate and monitor emerging issues in the health sector, using strategic thinking skills
- Rapidly synthesise, analyse and critique technical or complex, preferably scientific, information to share with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, including writing and editing and for publication
- Prepare and deliver high quality papers, briefs, presentations and correspondence
- Build effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake and/or supervise project management, contract management and procurement
**Skills & Experience Required**:
- Graduate or post-graduate qualifications (highly desirable)
- Experience in the health sector, government sector, and/or information management
- Project management and/or publishing skills
