Durack Civil is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, organised and proactive Plant Coordinator to help manage our light vehicle fleet, plant compliance, and hire procurement across multiple regions.
This role suits someone who’s switched on, detail-driven, and comfortable owning a big part of how our projects run day-to-day. You’ll work closely with our project teams, workshop, and suppliers to make sure the right plant is compliant, available, cost-controlled, and delivered on time.
If you enjoy coordinating moving parts, keeping systems tight, and being the go-to person for plant and fleet — this is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing civil business with a strong pipeline of work across Queensland.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Track licences, VOCs, inductions and operator competencies
* Maintain all compliance records — test & tag, ECIs, lifting gear, COIs, pressure vessels
* Manage LV and plant rego renewals and documentation
* Coordinate service schedules and workshop bookings
* Oversee LV fit-outs, upgrades and replacement planning
* Maintain plant registers, GPS/telematics data, manuals and certificates
* Process invoices with accurate cost coding
* Assist with FBT and internal workshop billing
* Source and negotiate dry/wet hire for FNQ, NT, QLD West, SEQ, Scenic Rim & Northern Rivers
* Build strong supplier relationships and maintain a regional supplier matrix
* Obtain competitive quotes and compare rates and mobilisation times
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in plant, fleet or construction admin
* Strong coordination and scheduling ability
* Good understanding of LV/plant compliance
* Comfortable building supplier relationships
* High attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits
* Commercial awareness (coding, rates, procurement)
* Strong SharePoint and digital filing skills
* Someone who is reliable, proactive, and solutions-driven
