Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Yard Hand to work in our metal recycling yard on the Gold Coast, Australia.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and material handling machines, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist drivers with loading and unloading materials
* Operate forklifts and other machinery as required
* Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending and carrying heavy loads
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
* Physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical
* Forklift ticket and experience (advantageous)
* Previous experience operating material handling machines (advantageous)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a busy metal recycling yard on the Gold Coast, with regular exposure to outdoor conditions. The successful applicant will be required to work Monday to Friday, 7am till 4pm.
