You'll be a trusted credit partner to Westpac Institutional Bank's Health and Aged Care clients, providing clear credit analysis that supports sustainable growth. Working across new and existing relationships, you'll lead the end-to-end credit process shaping transactions, assessing risk and portfolio monitoring. You'll work closely with relationship managers, product partners and risk teams to structure complex transactions, challenge assumptions and bring balanced, commercial thinking to decision making. Your insights will help inform both client conversations and internal approvals, and you'll be confident presenting and defending your recommendations at senior forums. Alongside managing your own portfolio, you'll support the development of junior analysts, sharing your experience and lifting capability across the team. This role is based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, with exposure to a diverse and evolving healthcare client base.
What do I need?
* 5‐7 years' experience in wholesale banking or a related environment, with a strong track record in credit writing, credit assessment and transaction structuring.
* Confidence independently assessing and managing credit risk across complex deals, while balancing risk appetite with commercial outcomes.
* A sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced, delivery focused environment.
* Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage credibly with senior stakeholders and external clients.
* Developed risk judgment and commercial acumen, with exposure to the health and aged care sector viewed positively.
