**About the Role**
In the role National Service Development Manager of Support Coordination you will play a key role in fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement so the people we support can live their best lives. The position will also be responsible for utilising client feedback and data analytics to assist DACMH leadership teams to identify service delivery improvement opportunities on a national scale.
You can situated anywhere in Australia for this role.
You will have opportunities to lead a range of national change projects and initiatives across the DACMH jurisdictions, which may include service structure, program design, process or systems improvements. NDIS, you will assist NDIS participants to coordinate and implement a range of support services, in line with their NDIS plan, using a person centred active support approach.
You will also be required to establish strong rapport and working relationships with a range of business stakeholders including People with Disability & their family members, NDIS Local Area Coordinators, NDIS Planners, internal and external service providers. You will ideally have mental health and disability practice expertise, and an excellent understanding of the NDIS.
This role will require the you to undertake domestic travel from time to time to attend events and meetings.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Partner and collaborate Strengthen and enhance our client's ability to coordinate supports and participate in the community.
- Regularly monitor our client's NDIS plan to ensure services are being delivered within their allocated budget
- Ensure mainstream services meet their service obligations to LWB clients (i.e. housing, education, justice, health)
- Build the capacity of the LWB customer to achieve greater independence to self-direct services and supports in the longer term
- Provide the LWB customer and the NDIA with reports on outcomes and success indicators, within the agreed reporting frequency
**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications including: Business, Social Work Community Sector management or equivalent;
- Demonstrated experience & knowledge of community services policy& practice in Australia, including working knowledge of relevant legislative & regulatory environments.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across various levels and business units to effectively lead a change process.
- Working with people with a disability and mental health issues, including supporting people with disability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to engage with clients and their families to support them as participants of the NDIS.
- Strong written and computer skills for the creation of plans, programs reports, correspondence and other documents
- Established time management, problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Ability to think creatively and use initiative, to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team using strong coordination, leadership and peer support skills
