We are a media organisation who operate a Christmas based website and online community.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who loves to get into the Christmas spirit, to write and update articles on our website and also assist our Social Media Coordinator managing our social communities in the lead up to Christmas. You will play an essential role in our team, being responsible for writing some of the most exciting content for our website (as well as partner websites) and engaging with our social community.
Starting late November and working up until Christmas, this role offers flexible working hours; hours will fluctuate each week (average 9 hours a week) and some weekend work is required. An opportunity for extra work is available for strong performers.
This fantastic role gives you the opportunity to work from home at a time that suits, or a location that you choose You will need to provide your own computer and equipment, and have a reliable internet connection.

**The Role**:
- Writing and updating articles of the best Christmas Lights around the country (these are published on various partner websites).
- Writing and updating Christmas related articles on our website.
- Assist with our social presence on Facebook (predominantly), and any other social platforms.
- Monitor and engage with related social media communities including moderating our Facebook groups.
- Ad-hoc website content review and support.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Excellent creative writing ability with clear English expression.
- Strong attention to detail - reviewing and summarising content comes naturally to you.
- Able to work to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Good use and knowledge of Social Media.
- Competent in learning new systems (our Content Management System is unique).
- Can work autonomously.
- Please note this is a contractor position and you will require an ABN.
