We are seeking a passionate and highly organised Art Technician to join our vibrant Art Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and resourceful individual to support students and teachers in delivering an outstanding visual arts education.

Working across both the College's Secondary and Junior Schools, this varied role will see you:

* Preparing and maintaining art materials, tools, and equipment for lessons.
* Assisting in setting up and dismantling displays, College exhibitions and events.
* Ensuring a safe, clean, and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations, including the maintenance of the College's hazardous chemicals and substances audit requirements.
* Managing and maintaining stock levels and ordering of supplies as required.
* Supporting students with their practical work, encouraging experimentation and creativity.
* Providing technical support to students and staff, including demonstrations of equipment and techniques.

This is a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE) role, working during school term times only and commencing in late January 2026.

Some additional hours on a Sunday may be required on occasion to facilitate senior student's studio time.

The successful application will have a passion for art and education and will be able to demonstrate:

* A proven ability to prepare and maintain art materials, tools, and equipment for lessons and exhibitions.
* An understanding of various art techniques and media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, woodwork and mixed media
* Practical experience in woodworking techniques, including safe use of hand tools and power tools.
* A commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace for students and staff.
* A passion for fostering creativity and supporting students in practical work
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
* Flexibility to assist with exhibitions, events, and occasional weekend work.
