About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to support the successful delivery of the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) project.
Working closely with the Senior Contracts Administrator, this role will support the administration of contracts across the project lifecycle, from tender and procurement through to delivery and close-out. You will play an important role in maintaining commercial controls, coordinating contract documentation, managing correspondence, and assisting with claims, variations, and subcontractor administration.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing commercial professional who is looking to build capability on a landmark infrastructure project while being mentored by an experienced senior leader.
What You'll Do
* Support the Senior Contracts Administrator in the day-to-day administration of head contracts and subcontract agreements
* Assist with preparing, reviewing, and issuing commercial correspondence, notices, and contract documentation
* Coordinate subcontractor and supplier documentation, including onboarding, compliance records, and contractual deliverables
* Assist in the assessment and administration of variations, progress claims, delays, and extensions of time
* Maintain accurate contract registers, trackers, and filing systems to support project governance and audit readiness
* Monitor key contractual milestones, obligations, and reporting deadlines, escalating risks or issues where required
* Work with project managers, engineers, and delivery teams to ensure contract requirements are understood and implemented
* Support tender and procurement activities, including document preparation, scope alignment, and commercial evaluation inputs
* Assist with compliance obligations relating to WHS, quality, environmental, and legislative requirements within contract administration processes
* Contribute to commercial reporting, cost tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives across the project commercial function
About You
* Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in contracts, construction management, commercial/business law, quantity surveying, or a related discipline
* Experience in a Contracts Administrator, Project Administrator, Commercial Administrator, or similar role within the construction/infrastructure sector
* Sound understanding of contract administration principles across project delivery environments
* Exposure to subcontractor management, commercial correspondence, claims, or variations (desirable)
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation and competing priorities effectively
* Willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of a Senior Contracts Administrator
* Working knowledge of Australian construction contracts (including exposure to AS4000 suite, desirable)
* Understanding of relevant legislative and compliance requirements in construction (WHS, quality, environmental, security of payment), commensurate with experience
