2026/27 Australia Undergraduate Summer Internship - Energy Advisory
Location: Sydney, Australia
Baringa's Australian Energy Advisory practice offers a 10‐week internship this summer for students passionate about the energy transition. The internship provides a first‐hand view of life in a management consultancy, experience on the consulting project lifecycle, business analysis and client engagement.
What you will be doing?
* Power Market Fundamentals & Transactions – Build quantitative insights into power market fundamentals, including electricity demand, supply, and technology costs, and assess the impact on project valuations and capital deployment.
* Energy Strategy & Commercial Advisory – Work with energy companies, policymakers, regulators, and investors to optimise strategy, portfolio, development projects and business models in dynamic markets.
Requirements
* Undergraduate student in penultimate or final year with a robust academic record.
* Studying an analytical degree in Maths, Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics or a similar field.
* Passionate about driving the energy transition.
* Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Curiosity and developing capability in AI tools.
* Legal right to work in Sydney, Australia now and in the future (no sponsorship).
Key Dates
* Application window closes: Friday 19th June, 6pm AEST.
* Assessment Centres: 1‐2 day, week commencing 13th July 2026 (subject to change).
* Internship starts: Monday 30th November 2026.
* Internship ends: Friday 5th February 2027 (office closed 21st Dec 2026 – 4th Jan).
