About The Role
Step into the Midwifery/Nursing Unit Manager - Maternity and Inpatient Ward at Narrabri Hospital, leading a dedicated team of Midwives and Nurses to deliver outstanding care for low-risk maternity (antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal) and general medical patients. Reporting directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager, you'll own patient flow, rostering and clinical leadership - empowering autonomous staff practice, optimising operations in a dynamic rural environment, and driving evidence-based excellence where your decisions make all the difference!

About You
You're a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with current AHPRA Authority to Practice, ready for rural leadership (experience/qualifications preferred but not essential). You excel autonomously in diverse clinical scenarios with limited resources, make swift evidence-based decisions without immediate specialist access, and build genuine relationships delivering culturally sensitive care to patients and rural teams.

Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registrationMaster’s degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Management or relevant discipline, or currently working towards.Ability to work autonomously across varied clinical situationsExcellent decision-making for safe, evidence-based careStrong relationship-building with patients and local healthcare teams
