Community Midwife Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Community Midwife to provide essential antenatal and postnatal care in Coober Pedy, working within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred, clinical nursing and midwifery care in the community.
* Monitor and review patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Oversee midwifery services and collaborate with other health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
* Support the Nurse Unit Manager with clinical, educational, and management duties.
* Contribute to clinical teaching, supervise new staff, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
* Engage in clinical auditing, research, and evaluation projects to improve service delivery.
* Lead in providing community-based midwifery care and ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
* Registered Midwife with a current practicing certificate and at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Experience guiding and mentoring less experienced staff and students.
* Ability to innovate and adapt to the needs of the community.

Benefits:
* Ongoing Part Time position with 32 hours per fortnight (0.42FTE).
* $87,416 - $110,497 p.a (pro rata) + allowances + superannuation + salary sacrifice benefits.
