Overview
The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organising, and executing events and activities. This is a volunteer position. This role involves coordinating with Edmund Rice Centre staff, managing event logistics, and ensuring that all events run smoothly and achieve their objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. We need the Event Coordinator to assist in managing occasions like Fundraising events, NAIDOC week, Refugee Week and Harmony Day at Edmund Rice Centre WA.
Responsibilities
* Manage event plans, timelines, and budgets.
* Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and equipment.
* Liaise with volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure all event needs are met.
* Maintain effective communication with all event participants and stakeholders.
* Oversee event setup, catering and decorations.
* Ensure all event activities are conducted according to plan and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications and qualities
* Passion for community service and event management.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
* Experience coordinating events is desirable.
