We are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor for our client, a local council based in Western Sydney on an initial 12 month contract. 21 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with an hourly rate of $61.68ph + super.
The role will be responsible for general building surveying duties including CC/CDC/DA assessment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide building surveying and regulatory services to the Building and Engineering Assessment teams
Assess, determine and certify all classes of building development under the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, in accordance with Council's delegated authority
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders in the Development Application/Construction Certificate and Complying Development Certificate approval process through internal and external referrals, pre-lodgment meetings, assessment meetings and fire safety design brief meetings etc
Undertake any other building surveying, regulatory or corporate duties as directed by the Team Leader Building Assessment, Executive Building Surveyor, Manager Building and Engineering Assessment, or Director Planning and Development
Diploma in Building Surveying
At least 5 years experience in Building Surveying
Drivers licence
Desirable
Accreditation as an Accredited Certifier in NSW under the Building Professionals Act 2005 and Building Professionals Regulation 2007 or Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018 and Building and Development Act Regulation 2020.
