Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage maintenance resources to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
* Evaluate and communicate established objectives, targets, and standards to the maintenance team.
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
* Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
* Comply with quality standards while recommending new or alternate approaches.
Tactical Management:
* Identify production inefficiencies and develop corrective actions.
* Coordinate planning activities with the maintenance team to maintain best practices and provide maximum plant availability.
Long-term Strategy:
* Execute long-term maintenance and improvement plans for areas of control.
* Inspect mill production areas to detect and resolve maintenance/ mechanical issues.
Personnel Development:
* Support and train national workforce under their authority and peers.
* Establish a platform for succession planning.
Education and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 8 years of Maintenance Engineering experience.
* Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Key Skills:
* Solid understanding of mechanical principles relating to milling, including grinding, pumping, conveyance, and hydraulics.
* Ability to resolve technical issues without external support.
Professional Competencies:
* Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
* Effective communication and organizational skills.
