Position Summary: Provide expert guidance on an extensive and curated wine list, offering tailored recommendations to guests to enhance their dining experience Maintain in-depth knowledge of global wine regions, vintages, varietals, and ideal food and wine pairings Uphold The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary service standards in every guest interaction, ensuring a refined and personalized experience Collaborate with the culinary team to align wine offerings with seasonal menus and special events Monitor wine service during daily operations to ensure consistency, proper presentation, and optimal guest satisfaction Assist in planning and executing exclusive wine events, tastings, and private dining experiences Stay current with wine trends and industry developments to continuously enhance the wine program Contribute to the seamless operation of the dining room, supporting broader restaurant functions as needed About You: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years’ experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Fine Dining Restaurant. Extensive knowledge of international wines, spirits, and beers. Have an articulated knowledge of wine service and etiquette. WSET Level 2 as a minimum and or CMS Certified.
