When disaster strikes, the ABC is on air, online and on the ground delivering life-saving information before, during and after emergencies. This includes coverage of bushfires, floods, storms, cyclones and other disasters which pose a threat to life or significant property damage. In this vital role, you will: Coordinate and support emergency broadcasting coverage primarily across South Australia and Northern Territory, and Australia wide as required Present emergency warnings and related content live to air across radio Post emergency content to social media Assist in the creation of sitreps and coverage plans for emergency events Help provide training to content makers in emergency procedures Liaise with emergency agencies and with internal ABC stakeholders About You You will be able to demonstrate: You are an accomplished content-maker, with proven experience broadcasting live to air radio under pressure. Previous exposure to emergency broadcasting is preferable.
