- Salary commencing at $40.17 per hour (Inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus 10.5% superannuation, commensurate with experience
- Carry out a range of community care support tasks
**Aged & Disability Services Department**
- Council's Aged & Disability Services department provides a comprehensive range of support services, community linkage, advice and referral to assist residents who are either frail aged, have a disability or who are a primary carer, to remain connected, valued and safe within their chosen communities and within their homes. These services are vital to the quality of life enjoyed by individuals and families within Moonee Valley and operate as part of a complex service system funded through Commonwealth, State and Local government.**The Opportunity**
- This position will see you carrying out a range of community care support tasks as described in client's care plans by supporting and enabling the clients with domestic tasks, general health and personal care needs, assistance with community access, promoting independence, delivery of community meals, and ensuring that each client receives a high level of care and support.- Providing high-quality assistance and support to clients, you will be responsible for the following:
- Domestic Assistance
- Personal Care
- Social Support
- Respite Care
- Community Meal Delivery**Skills & Experience**
- Hold a Certificate III (or be working towards) in relevant disciplines, such as Community Welfare, Home and Community Services, Aged Care, Disability Care, Lifestyle Leisure, Allied Health or Community Services/Development, or equivalent worked experience;
- Previous experience in working with vulnerable community members;
- Ability to undertake personal care tasks to service users who are both physically unable to undertake the tasks themselves or make the decisions about the care they need;
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and Level 2 First Aid Certificate

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential: 1. Hold a Certificate III (or be working towards) in relevant disciplines, such as Community Welfare, Home and Community Services, Aged Care, Disability Care, Lifestyle Leisure, Allied Health or Community Services/Development, or equivalent worked experience.
