Clinical Psychologist Registrar - Mental Health role at Child and Adolescent Health Service. This is a recruitment pool with Permanent Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time, Fixed Term Full time and Fixed Term Part-Time opportunities available across CAMHS directorates with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency available. Immediate vacancies are listed by location.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, dyadic, group, community, and hospital-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and family therapy.
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and family functioning.
- Provide consultation, advice, and training on psychological matters to colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in professional development and supervision towards full registration.
- Maintain client records, comply with guidelines for therapy and testing materials, and contribute to performance monitoring and improvement.
Your role aligns with WA Health Code of Conduct and CAHS values, ensuring governance, integrity, safety, and quality in healthcare delivery.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Evidence of Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and eligibility for full registration and Clinical Psychology Registrar status with the Psychology Board of Australia. New graduates are welcome to apply while their AHPRA registration is pending. As this is a pool recruitment process, you will not be appointed until your registration is confirmed.
- Provide the names and email contact details of two professional referees (current or previous within last 2 years). References from colleagues are not accepted.
- Statement addressing Essential Selection Criteria 2 to 7, limited to a maximum of three pages.
- Working rights: valid working visa for fixed term appointments or Australian citizen, permanent resident, or visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia for permanent appointments.
This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check. See WWC website for details. WA Health requires criminal records screening and integrity checks. Referees may be asked to comment on integrity and ethical behaviour.
