Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.We embrace flexible work arrangements, such as a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.The role involves providing structural engineering services to support production and resolve shipbuilding issues, interfacing with engineering, production, sustainment, procurement, and external suppliers. It may also involve interfacing with the customer during design reviews. The role includes leadership, technical guidance, and team development.Key Responsibilities include:Supporting and coordinating production queries with structural assessments.Providing technical leadership and guiding structural engineering activities, potentially leading a team.Acting as an interface between project teams, management, and customers.Managing structural tasks within budget, schedule, and priorities.Interpreting technical documents and liaising with stakeholders to support their requirements.Participating in project meetings, design reviews, and peer reviews.Driving process, quality, and cost improvements while maintaining design integrity.Undertaking site inspections and verifications.Ensuring documentation compliance with standards and procedures.About YouDegree in Naval Architecture, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related, with membership in Engineers Australia.Chartered status or commitment to obtain it.Eligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance NV1 & NSSIC.Significant experience in structural engineering, preferably in Naval/Maritime industry.Experience in resolving production-related structural issues, design reviews, analyses, and supporting production.Experience with Finite Element Analysis (desirable), specifically Hyperworks.Eligibility for ITAR clearance.We encourage applicants even if they don't meet all criteria, as we value potential.About UsWe care about your wellbeing, value diversity, and foster an inclusive culture.
