About the Role
The JBS Townsville Plant is currently recruiting an experienced IT Officer to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the IT Officer will play a crucial role in the successful operation of the plant. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of PC's and Windows Systems and a technical background in computing and/or electronics.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant IT assets
* Installation and configuration of new equipment such as computer desktops and industrial printers
* Installation and configuration of software across a range of platforms
* Monitoring, responding and diagnosing all facets of daily IT issues through the plant
* Troubleshooting and resolving user issues as they occur
* Escalating issues to the broader IT support team whilst maintaining responsibility for close out
* Developing effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
* Undertaking various reporting and data tracking
About You
* Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment as well as the ability to work unsupervised
* Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - with the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical user base
* Highly developed time management skills including prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
* Strong attention to detail
* Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment
* High standard of computer literacy
* Previous experience working with varied IT hardware, Software and Operating Systems
* Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills
* Previous experience in a factory or process setting advantageous
