Seven Fields Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nutrano Produce Group have an opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team in Mildura. This role is responsible for the management and performance of the packing and logistics operations of Sunwest. This involves the achievement of optimum packing shed performance and the efficient warehouse and distribution of packed product in accordance with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
* Establish and maintain organisational systems and procedures to ensure safe and efficient Packing Shed operations.
* Ensure the packing shed achieves the operational targets required during the harvest period
* Liaise with the relevant managers in relation to customer forecasts and demands and ensure continuity of product supply through the packing shed
* Provide the relevant managers with supply and quality updates in order to develop suitable packing plans to optimise grower returns
* In conjunction with the relevant managers, prepare operations cost-analysis and plan and monitor operations budgets
Quality and Safety
* Ensure all staff are trained in OH&S, quality and operational procedures
* Ensure that all packing operations fruit inspections and tests are carried out and that all Quality systems and accreditations are adhered to including Global Gap, HARPS, ICA02, ICA38
* In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all quality system documents are maintained and updated as appropriate
* Ensure all staff conform to instructions on Staff Hygiene and Occupation Health & Safety Policies/Procedures
Logistics
* Ensure all logistics activities, including warehousing and transport are operated effectively
* Co-ordinate the purchase, repair and maintenance of all equipment and buildings
* Ensure calibration of relevant equipment
People Management
* Conduct staff performance reviews and ensure training and development plans are in place for employees
* Maintain effective staff and contractor relations at all times including the effective resolution of grievances and disputes
Key qualifications and Experience:
· Experience within the food manufacturing industry is preferred. Experience in a similar role - particularly in an Operational role within a fresh produce perishable (Citrus) environment will be highly regarded.
· Sound knowledge in WHS & GMP procedures
· Minimum of 5 years site Management experience.
· Forklift licence.
· Drivers licence.
· Strong verbal communication skills.
· Flexibility with work schedule.
· Delivery of high quality, results-oriented, customer-focused solutions.
· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships based on respect and trust across all levels of the business.
