This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for four (4) months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, subject to business requirements.

About The Role

Responsibilities
The Clerical Officer provides clerical and administration support and is responsible for the coordination of a range of administrative support activities for the Mid West Gascoyne region. Specific responsibilities includes:

* Providing reception support including attending to reception duties; answering calls and interacting with stakeholders.
* Using Microsoft suite including email, excel spreadsheets and data input into YJS programs.
* Prioritising incoming information and correspondence and directs it to the appropriate officer within the branch.
* Maintaining accurate and effective correspondence, electronic and physical filing completed in a timely manner.
* Other duties as required in accordance with strategic objectives, business plans, local workload priorities and performance planning and development plans.

There are two (2) other admin staff to train and support you in your role, so you won't be alone in starting your new career.

Eligibility
Special conditions
– Successful applicants must have a current valid driver's licence.

Permanent positions
– To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

WWC positions
– In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people who work directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position.
