Job Description
AECOM is delivering some of Australia’s most critical water infrastructure projects. With major investment in dam infrastructure and long-term partnerships with dam owners nationwide, we offer an unparalleled opportunity to work on complex and high-impact projects across the country. As part of our industry leading Dams team, you’ll contribute to feasibility studies, design, construction, and asset management, collaborating with specialists nationally and internationally to develop sustainable water solutions and mentor the next generation of engineers. With AECOM’s flexibility, you can base yourself in the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Perth or Melbourne offices.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical engineering design for dam operations and equipment integration.
* Inspection, investigation and condition assessment of existing dams.
* Construction support services including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting.
* Preparation of tenders and proposals and providing mentoring.
Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive:
* Demonstrated capability in mechanical design, including the preparation of design reports, design drawings and specifications, ideally within the dam industry.
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (essential).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong collaboration and relationship-building with internal stakeholders, clients and local industry.
* Positive attitude, seeing challenges as opportunities to innovate.
Additional Information
