Maker is a fast growing, highly regarded employee-owned consultancy looking for a Civil Engineer with a Construction background to join our team in either Wollongong or Bomaderry.

With a team of over 60 staff, Maker is working on a diverse range of public infrastructure and land development projects for clients across all sectors and industries within New South Wales and Victoria.
The Role
Located in either our Wollongong or Shoalhaven (Bomaderry) office and working as part of our Construction team, you will be responsible for contract management, site surveillance and general client-side project management. You will work closely with the Directors, clients, internal staff, external consultants and civil contractors to deliver key land development and civil public infrastructure projects across NSW.
Your responsibilities would include:
* Preparing, issuing and administering tenders through to contract engagement.
* Preparing and implementing standard construction contracts (e.g. AS4000, GC21 and MW21).
* Undertaking site inspection, chairing site visits and undertaking verification of standard civil works.
* Assessing claims, EOT's, RFI's, defects etc.
* Liaising with authorities (e.g. Councils and other government agencies, and utility providers).
* Managing project financials (e.g. invoicing, forecasting, budgeting and resourcing).
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in civil engineering construction with a sound knowledge in land development and civil infrastructure.
* Strong understanding and proven experience in administering contracts such as AS4000, GC21 and MW21.
* Experience in liaising with authorities such as Councils, State Government agencies and utility providers.
* Experience in managing project financials; experience in forecasting project cost and program is also preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
