Job Title: Solicitor - Insurance
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on a diverse and engaging mix of insurance matters, focusing on common law tort claims and statutory workers' compensation and CTP claims.
- Investigate and litigate claims, providing support and advice on strategy, resolution, and coverage.
- Broaden skills across other areas of insurance, including public liability, regulatory investigations, medical negligence, immigration, and general insurance claims.
- Direct client access, ensuring close collaboration with Partners in a strong team environment.
- Participate in supportive training and mentoring programs.
- Conduct advisory work on coverage analysis, liability, and potential non-disclosure and misrepresentation issues.
- Assist insurers with claims disputes, investigations, and complaints.
- Engage in advocacy in courts and tribunals.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience in insurance and litigation is ideal.
- Critical analysis skills in regard to expert reports, contracts, and/or legislation and regulatory documents.
- Ability to draft clear and concise communications.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for conversing with clients and other parties.
